Get the Food Assistance You Need

Food for Thought is here to ensure you have the resources you need to stay focused, healthy, and successful. We provide emergency food boxes, meal vouchers, fresh produce, and healthy recipes for San Juan College students, staff, and faculty. Our program is designed to help you tackle food insecurity, connect with local resources, and build healthy eating habits—all while staying on track with your education and goals.


Food Assistance and Nutrition Support at San Juan College

We offer a variety of services to support your well-being and food security:

TrailBlaze Cupboard: Emergency Food Boxes

Don’t let hunger stand in your way. The TrailBlaze Cupboard provides enrolled San Juan College students with emergency food boxes filled with essential items to help during challenging times. We’re here to support you and connect you with helpful resources like SNAP, ECHO, and other community programs so you can stay focused on your goals.

Meal Vouchers for Students

As a San Juan College student, you can get a hot meal at Mary’s Kitchen with a voucher from the Food for Thought Program. We’re here to help you stay fueled and focused on your goals. Students can receive up to 2 vouchers per week.

Voucher Pickup Hours:
Monday: 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. 
Thursday: 12 - 4 p.m.

SJC Cooks: Recipes and Nutrition Tips

Learn how to prepare simple, budget-friendly meals with our “Food of the Month” recipes. Watch cooking demos, explore nutritional tips, and build habits that keep you healthy on any schedule.

Local Food Resources and SNAP Assistance

We’ll help you access more food resources off-campus, including:

  • Assistance with applying for SNAP benefits.
  • A comprehensive list of food pantries in the Four Corners region.

Fresh, Local Produce from the Harvest Food Hub

Through our partnership with the Harvest Food Hub, you can access fresh, locally grown fruits, vegetables, and other produce. Enjoy healthy, delicious options while supporting local farmers.
